Dear Members of the SBC Abu Dhabi,

The Swiss Business Council Abu Dhabi is pleased to announce the election of Mr. Matteo Boffa as new President of the Council. Mr. Boffa is an Environmental & Social Entrepreneur – Investor – Startups Judge – University lecturer and speaker. He will serve a two-year term.

Dr. Clemens Daburon was elected Vice President of the Council. Dr. Daburon is Managing Partner, Daburon & Partners Legal Consultants LLP and Lawyer of Trust of the Austrian Embassy. He, too will serve a two-year term.

Yesterday, 25 March 2020, the 19th Annual General Meeting of the Swiss Business Council Abu Dhabi was held remotely via video conferencing and voting were done also by proxy due to the current global health situation.

A word of welcome by Ms Charoline Engel, Executive Director, SBC Abu Dhabi was followed by an address by Mr. Vincent Pasquier, Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Switzerland in the United Arab Emirates.

The financial statements of the years 2018 and 2019 were presented by Honorary Auditor, Dr. Qaiser Anis, Alliott Hadi Shahid Chartered Accountants.

We would like to thank all our members for your dedication, support and cooperation and wish the newly elected President and Vice President all the best for their term in office.
